Dear Dan:
Thank you very much for forwarding the materials
developed within the Atlanta city administration
relative to potential implementation of the Riot
Commission Report. The steps taken by Mayor Allen
in this respect are a good example of what enlightened
municipal administration might do around the country.
It just adds further to that mountain of evidence
that Atlanta has an exceptional municipal government.
I hope you have begun to recover from the strains
imposed by the assassination of Dr. King. Many
thanks for your help to this office in connection
with Mr. Gardner's attendance at the funeral.
