Curriculum and Finance Conference Session
The next Conference meeting has been scheduled Thursday, December 11, at
Spelman College . We shall be meeting from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Giles
Hall. For parking: turn off Northside Drive onto Greensferry and follm-r
it to Henry Street to the parking lot behind Spelman College.
As indicated an the enclosed agenda, this session of the Conference will
be led by the Curriculum and Finance Work Groups and will deal with these.
topics in relationship to the service-learning concept.
Research finJ.ings related to the service-learning concept are now becoming available. They underscore the importance of the forthcoming session
since the impact of financial support and a cademic credit on a servicelearning program are shown.

the Atlanta Service-Learning Conference is
exploring, both in theory and practice, the
service-learning concept, in which the accomplishment of a needed task is integrated
with educational growth.
