MEMORANDUM
TO : Charles L. Davis, Director of Finance
FROM : Dan E. Sweat, Jr.
SUBJECT : Urban Corps
Mayor Allen has contacted Alderman Milton Farris, Chairman of
the Finance Committee, and it is my understanding that a decision
was reached to provide the Urban Corps with administrative funds
for the remainder of this year.
Attached is our proposed budget for this time period. You will
note that this is for administrative funds only and it is my hope
that we can work out arrangements through the Southern Regional
Education Board or with and through individual department's
salary accounts whereby the city can receive the services of some
interns this fall. This budget, however, does not anticipate or
propose to finance the cost of any interns.
It would be appreciated if you would take the necessary steps to
prepare a resolution for the consideration of the Board of Aldermen
80 as to provide these funds,
