Mr. Paul Anthony
Executive Director
Southern Regional Council
5 Forsyth Street, N. W.
Atlanta, Georgia
Dear Mr. Anthony and Colleagues:
Thank you for your letter of September 9, and for
your offer of assistance to the City of Atlanta. We
are grateful for the leadership which has been
provided by many persons, both professional and
lay, associated with the agencies which you serve.
We fully acknowledge the existence of many
conditions which must be changed if our city is
to become the place which I believe we all hope
for. We count upon your continued interest and
the support of your agencies in developing
programs to help us meet both the short and
long run problems which face us.
Although it is not possible to arrange a meeting
with your group immediately, I appreciate your
willingness,both as individuals and collectively,
Mr. Anthony
