Attention: Captain Royal
Dear Captain Royal:
I would like to express my gratitude for your personal assistance
when my secretary's automobile was impounded. Needless to say she was
delighted to,as she put it, "to see a smiling face at the door of the
Police Station". The whole incident was regretable, and I assure you
it will not happen again.
There is one comment I would like to make regarding the traffic
officer involved in the incident. Officer Penrod was very courteous
and rather apologetic that it was necessary to take such action, but
as I mentioned before, he was only doing his sworn duty. This officer
is indeed a gentleman and a credit to his department. I cannot say it
has been a pleasure doing business with him, however, since he has
ticketed me several times for overtime parking, and each time I have
been guilty. But, it is gratifying to know that this officer is so
conscientious.
