Dear Billy:
I have noted that a conference is scheduled here on December 13th by
the National Urban Coalition Task Force for-the purpose of exploring
employment opportunities for the hard-core unemployed, and that you
and Ivan Allen are sending out invitations. This letter is to request
that an invitation to this conference be sent to me, and on to Dr.
Harding B. Young, Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration,
Atlanta University.
Dr. Young heads up the Regional Economic Development & Business Service
Center which has as its objectives the creation of jobs and the main-
tenance of technical assistance for existing business among the minority
groups. I serve as a consultant to the Center.
I suggest that you may also want to consider Dr. Young for one of your
Chamber of Commerce permanent committees concerned with unemployment,
and business development among the minority groups.
