Dear Mr. Allen,
I would like to volenteer my services on the police
force during the present and any future crisis that
we have here in Atlanta. I am not enough of a man
to do you any good in times of trouble, but I will
be glad to do things like directing traffic and any-
thing that will relieve a capable man.
If I can ever be of service, please feel free to call
on mee I am 34: and in fairly good health, but I have
not had the training to be a permanent policeman nor
do I have the desire to become one. I feel that it is
the duty of all citizens to offer thetr services.

I get off from work at 3:30 PM, but I can get off at
any time for a crisis. Once again, please feel free
to call on me.
