I saw you on television,when you
confrénted courageously a wild mob.I was even
more impressed,when I listened to your wrds
of moderation and true decency after these
ugly scenes,whereé these hoodlums did not show
the slightest respect,if not about your raw
courage,to confront them-but your gray hair...
I am convinced,thet whatever men like
you have worked for:understanding of both
races,fair play towards grievances of the
colored men-the negro hoodlum will undow
or at least retard.To keep the good work
up and not to become bitter and frustrated-
takes a great soul and character,
