Dear Mr.Allen,
- After hearing and read-
ing your calm,temperate and well though’
out statement that ' It is deplorable
that the combined forces of ignorance
prejudice#,reactionism and the duplici-
ty of many Republican voters have xhrs
thrust upon the State of Georgia,
Lester Maddox,etc.'&X,I have been
wondering under which of these cate-
gories 1 fell. I may be some prejudic-
ed,amd not A Repuhlican,so 1 prefer to
believe my trouble is ignorance.
I have been buying s&ationery,
office supplies,etc.from your company
for over thirty years,and incidentally
the paper I am writing on and the en-
velope it is enclosed in came from
your plant.So I have to plead ignorance
or just crazy as hell to have been buy=
ing from a company that has at the |
head of it someone who is so spoiled
that he cannot bear the fact thate
someone who does not think like he
thinks could be lected by the people
of Georgia and that he would make such
irrational public statement.If I re-
member correctly you had the bug to be
governor a few years ago and want out
ver the state and it did not take

‘ ie week was an expression by the voters of
Georgia as to who they wanted to run
Tenn ___fTem._ as their candidate in the general elect-
= Ga. jon. They have spoken.How can you,a
modrate&Z,whatever that is,be so immoder-
ate as to obgest to following the
voters decsision?
By the way,it must be great to
live in Atlanta with all its trafficr
problems,riots,firemens and carpenter
strikes, a last place football team
and a baseball team in the second divi-
sion most of the season. Try to get a
few of the above straightened out before
! deploring the fact that the people of
oa eorgia vote for and elect whom they
; want.
