Dear Ivan:
What happened to the Empire State, it seems that this
Carmichael and the eruption here in Atlanta and through-
out the country on this Black Power has frightened many
good citizens, But at the same time, I glory in your
presentation to the public, even though those who
voted for Lester Maddox didn't approve,
I am just wondering if there is anything that can be
done that will change this situation, Of course, it
was more than unfortunate, especially after the work
which has been done by you and others, but I am sure that
by holding steadfast we will still come out on top,
One thing was certain, it was a relief to see that the
Lieutenant was defeated in a big way. This at Least
gives us some satisfaction,
Again congratulations on your position, It seems that
whenever you do have to make a statement you "hit the
nail on the headggppAt least, I know that~throughout, the
country the state nas received approval, ~ J!
