I have noted with much interest your testimony before the Senate Com-
merce Committee, in which you urged Congress to enact a bill to ban discrim-
ination in public accommodations.
As an Indiana-born white U. S. citizen, I heartily congratulate you on
your farsighted and civilized approach to our serious problem of racial
discrimination.
