WHEREAS, General public interest requires that free men exercise free
enterprise; and

WHEREAS, One of the Jaycee tenets is that ECONOMIC JUSTICE CAN BEST BE
WON BY FREE MEN THROUGH FREE ENTERPRISE; and

WHEREAS, Proposed Federal Legislation entitled H. Re 7152 now under con-
sideration by the United States Congress and in particular that
section of said Hs Re 7152 commonly known as the Public Accom-
medations Clause would be grossly detrimental to the exercise of
free enterprise and the general public interest and welfare of
the prople if enacted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That the West
End Junior Chamber of Commerce endorse and work toward the strong
stand taken by the Honorable Richard B. Russell, United States
Senator from Georgia, and the Honorable Herman E. Talmadge, United
States Senator from Georgia, against the enactment of this pro-
posed legislation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND IT IS HERESY RESOLVED, That the President of the
West End Junior Chamber of Commerce send copies of this resolution
to the aforementioned Honorable Richard B. Russell, Honorable
Herman E. Talmadge, the Honorable Charles L. Weltner, United
States Congressman, Fifth District of Georgia, the Honorable Carl
Sanders, Governor of Georgia, and the Honorable Ivan Allen, Jr.,
Mayor, Gity of Atlanta.
