Dear Mr. Landers: May I express my appreciation and that of the administrative staff of the Atlanta Public Schools for your willingness to accept the civic responsibility of helping us to provide better education for our children. Certainly your agreement to dedicate your efforts to the work of this Committee speaks well for you and our city, for the success of a democratic society largely depends on genuine personal involvement of citizens in community activities for the common good. The most recent example of civic cooperation was the school bond election . We owe you a debt of grati tude for your efforts to info rm our people of specific building needs. I look forward to the continuation of our work together for the good of Atlanta children .
