E 0 July 28, 1966 The Honorable Ivan Allen, Jr. Mayor, City of Atlanta City Hall Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Dear Mayor Allen: The Price Citizens Neighborhood Advisory Council would like for you to use the power and influence of your office in urging the approval of the recent proposal submitted by a citizens group. This proposal would pennit the Mayor and Board of Aldennen to appoint a Human Relations Connnission, with power and a paid staff, for the purpose of acting upon matters which need attention in the various neighborhoods and that "grass roots" representation be included in the appointments. The Price Citizens Neighborhood Advisory Council is composed of twenty-four members, representing approx imately twenty-one thousand "grass roots" residents of the South Atlanta area.
