Mays stated that the Aldermen should update the District Zoning M~p of the City and provide 13,a eq u.a te loc2lti ons for l ow-income housing :requi r ements . He also state d that t he people s h oul d be put in differe nt aect i ons of the C i ty only where it is economically possible . He s aid that t he NAf CP d o e s n o t want any more housing un its in the West area , but pe r haps in othe r sectors of the c : ty , and want s ass u rance th~t additi o nal d e v e l o pments will n o t be appr o ved in the wes t e rn part of the Ci ty un t il o t her sectors get their e q uitable share . Mr . John 8teinichen , III , Chairmen of Interfai t h , I~c ., stated that immedi~te steps should be ta k e n by the City of J'tlanta , throu eh its Pla n ning Department and the Bo ard of Aldermen , to adopt an updated L~nd UGe Plan , and that a new Zo ning Ordinance , based on the Land Use Plan , should be prepared f o r submission t o the Board of fldermen at t he earliest possible time .
