PROPOSED TITLE: Atlanta Metropolitan Area Conference on Equal Opportunity in Housing CO-SPONSORS: To be sponsored by a broadly based representation of educational, religious, labor, business, governmental, social service and human relations organizations in the Atlanta Metropolitan community, a community composed of Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett Counties. PURPOSE: To bring together people of many backgrounds and interests in a democratic context in order • to stimulate discussion of open housing in the Atlanta Metropolitan Community. . . . To facilitate such discussion .VJ~ _ wou ld expect to: 1. Analyze all available information concerning the problem of open housing in the Atlanta Metropolitan Community. 2. Analyze the problem of property depreciation, deterioration resulting in blighted areas on the economic development of the Metropolitan Area. 3. Assess the pot.~mtial effect of equal opportunity in housing on the total community. 4. Explore ways and means to inform the entire public concerning the problems and potential solutions available to the Atlanta Metropolitan Community. �
