As Elliott discussed with you previously, we are quite concerned by the manner in which the liquor license in conneetion with the Racquet Club has been handled . It appears to us that this 1s truly an excellent illustration of being "guilty by association. 11 Therefore, e feel that our clients are entitled to have the facts presented, rather than to be denied their rights based on rumors. Therefore, we suggest tbat you select an investigator, acceptable to us, and we will pay the reasonable expenses of a thorough and complete investigation, so that the facts may be available to your committee and to the appropriate authorities. Al.so, Mr . Cerami would like to have the opportunity of discussing this matter with you personally, at your convenience . In the meantime, should you agree to this investigation, e would suggest that the bar facilities at the Racquet Club would be re-leased to Mr. Jack Rice and operated by him independent of the owners or the Racquet Club. · I have tried to reach you by telephone, but I understand that you are quite busy. Therefore, I have taken the liberty of writing you so that you may consider this proposal as soon as possible.
