Atlanta, Georgia 30317 Dear Mr. Flanigen: Since my return to ··' the City this week, I have reviewed the Dari' Williams court case involving the property at Greenwich Street and the Southwest Connector, which took place during my absence. Although the ruling by the court was unfavorable to the City's interest, I understand that the matter may be appealed by the City within thirty days of that ruling. From discussing the matter briefly with the City Attorney's office I find that they would be agreeable to the appeal action and have some reason to feel that the City might be successful in this effort. Becaus e of the importance of this rezoning action upon the We st End Urban Renewal Project Area and the influence of this use upon other properties similarly · located along the Southwest Connector, I would strongly urge that you and the Zoning Committee seriously consider asking the City Attorney's office to appeal this recent court action .
