Dear Mr, King:
This morning I received from Mr, Douglas R. Cockrill, Assistant
Trust Officer of the First National Bank of Atlanta, a check
from an anonymous donor in the amount of $5418.00 to be used
specifically to cover the cost of one Laykold Tennis Court at
the new Shady Valley Park Site, Although, the donor does
wish to remain anonymous I wish you would take it upon yourself
to extend to him the official appreciation of the Mayor and
Board of Aldermen and more particularly the Department of Parks
and Recreation for his or her generosity.
I am this date asking the City Comptroller to deposit the check
in the appropriate account for this project.
The contract has been entered into with F. T. Brown & Company, Inc,
for the first phase construction of Shady Valley Park. The
construction time is estimated to be 120 consecutive calendar days.
