This letter is sent te you with all the cencern of the cemmunity ef Them sville, We have
tried tee ge avreund deing this but eur efferts were in vaig se new we must turn tee yeu .
We dislike deing this, and wish that we ceuld handle the matter of the Park that is te be
censtructed in eur cemmunity threugh eur alderman but we have tried this fer three years
and there have been no definate satisfaction made..
We wish tee say that this park have been prepesed in this cemmunity arid there have been
seme werk dene en it last year, This is far from cempleteing this park which is needed se
very badly in this ecemmummity. There is absolutely nee recreation facilities in this cemunity
at all, there is ne place fer the children te play se the only thing that they can de is
te take te the streets playing ball and dedging cars. This alse is the reets ef mischief
and ether acts. This Park is being censtructed in stages each year, and we think that it
is the enly ene in the city thet have been dene in this mnner. Certainly we den't think
that is even in the neighberheed ef being A goed plan. By the time that this park is fini-
shed the children will have beceme tee old te enjey it, arid the facilities that has been
errected during the first stage will have cerreded and fell tee the greund by the time
that the last stage is finished, There haven't been any werk dene this year and the geed
seassen fer this kind ef werk is definately passing by, Yet there is suppese tee be meney
appreperated fer werk te be dene.
Other perks have been started and completed and yet still enjeyed since the werk begain
en this park. The Geverner can even ge eut and accuire meney te build ether parks and yet
there are parks that stand with enly A beginning made en them and is needed se bad yet they
stand incemplete.
We are asking that yeu leek inte this matter and try tee get semething geing teward
cempleteing the perk in Thomasville se that the children will have seme place te use be-
side the street.
There is certainly ne reasen that A park sheuktd be censtructed in this manner, The city
efficisis is capable ef getting the things dene if it is urgent er if they need it, and we
must say that this park is needed, but will it ever be cempleted,.
Meney has been spent fer cleaning, grading and grassing A pertien ef the parks area, seen
it will be money wasted because the weeds and bushes will have taken ever all that have been
dene , then it will cest meney which ceuld be used fer further cempleting the park tee be
used fer the same thing.
