Dear Governor:

The Mayor of Atlanta, Ivan Allen, Jr., joins with
me in extending to you and your wife a cordial invitation to
visit our State and our capital city for the opening of our
first major league baseball season as the Braves play the
Pirates.

Tuesday, April 12, will have great significance, not
only for Atlantians and Georgians, but for all citizens
throughout the Southeast.

The opening game festivities actually begin on Monday,
April 11, with the Mayor's Dinner honoring the Atlanta Braves.
Mrs. Sanders and I hope you will be our guests for this oc-
casion.

On Tuesday, April 12, the great Braves Parade will
ride down famed Peachtree Street, beginning at 1:30 p.m.,
and, again, we hope you will participate in this event.

Pre-game activities will begin on Tuesday evening at
7:00 p.m. in the new Atlanta Stadium. Allin ali, these pro-
mise to be great moments, and we hope you will be here to
share them with us.

I understand that complimentary reservations will be
arranged for you at the new Marriott Hotel, and every effort
